Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership was launched in May 2011 to develop the Northamptonshire economy for the benefit of the county’s communities, businesses and visitors.
Brief to CubanEight
Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership wanted PR activity to raise awareness with target audiences and stakeholders about its successes and work to date in supporting the Northamptonshire economy. PR also needed to support NEP’s aim of promoting Northamptonshire as a great place to do businesses within the UK and internationally.
Campaign strategy
Position Northamptonshire Enterprise Partnership as a leader in developing the economy in the county through tangible examples of its work to date. Communicate this through two main channels; media relations and The Business Blog.
Tactics / activity
- Launch of The Business Blog – a regularly updated blog on NEPs work and opinion regarding relevant activities e.g. events, funds, other appropriate local / national news.
- Media relations to support specific projects such as:
- iCon Environmental Innovation Centre where we supported launch event, liaised with partners, led media work, secured media attendance and 13 pieces of coverage around event.
- Launch of Investment Prospectus to promote available commercial space in the county including securing media attendance, targeting key national outlets including national BBC filming at Silverstone, coverage on ITV news (Daybreak) and widespread local and sector coverage.
- Supporting the launch of a High Performance Technology Proposition Document with work with the HPT Steering Group and creation of HPT media strategy
Campaign outcomes
Extremely positive response from stakeholders regarding the impact of the Blog to communicate key messages and successes. Strong media coverage around project work across local, sector and national press with positive sentiment and clear key messages.
