Annabel and I went to the annual shindig that is the CIPR Pride awards last Friday – and am pleased to say that we won a PRide award for the Corporate & Business Communications category for our Clearswift campaign! This was great news – Clearswift are an enterprise security company and our PR strategy focused on revitalising relationships with media and influencers via news, briefings and comment and building a thought leadership position via new positioning and offering as a differentiator, and using Dr Guy Bunker as a security expert. We also developed a campaign theme of “The Enemy Within” – this was supported by research to identify the The Enemy Within, covering business issues around internal threats and to fuel a thought-leadership driven campaign. As well as the campaign resulting in media coverage including CNN, BBC (Dr Bunker appeared on BBC Breakfast commentating on the eBay hack earlier this year), Reuters, The Times, InfoSecurity, Computer Weekly and SC Magazine. In addition, Clearswift have adopted the theme across the business globally for sales and marketing campaigns. Am really proud of the team and it is a great case study of how our work goes beyond the PR remit and is woven into the fabric of the a client’s business.
